Position : IPO Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IPO Manager to lead a team that handles IP/counterfeit related cases and as the gatekeeper to ensure the product legitimacy and authenticity on our platform.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the monitoring and management of intellectual property (IP) related issues, ensuring a safe and trustworthy shopping environment for our customers. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of IP monitoring and enforcement.
What will you do?
IP Monitoring
Monitor counterfeit products sold on Coupang, manage potential risk factors, and create a safe shopping environment for customers.
Prevent exposure of counterfeit products by monitoring brand items, reducing customer complaints and confusion.
Seller Gating
Verify the distribution channels and sellers for certain categories and brand products to ensure a safe online shopping environment.
Conduct pre-gating and post-gating reviews to approve or reject product listings based on internal standards.
Counterfeit Detection and Process Improvement (CDPI)
Collaborate with operational teams to analyze and share data on stopped sales and high-risk sellers.
Develop automated processes to improve operational efficiency and detect counterfeit products.
Appeals and Escalation
Review seller appeals for stopped sales of suspected counterfeit products and ensure only legitimate appeals are approved.
Verify the authenticity of appeal documents and take necessary actions if documents are found to be falsified.
Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)
Respond promptly to reports of IP infringement and illegal products, preventing potential risks and ensuring customer trust in Coupang‘s products.
Handle and review reports of IP infringement within Coupang.
Essential Qualifications:
1. 5+ years of experience in intellectual property, compliance or legal related role
2. Fluent in English at professional level
3. Proficiency in OA Document Writing Skills, creating and managing office automation docs
4. Communication Skills
5. Monitoring and data analysis
Ability to conduct thorough and detailed monitoring of products and sellers
Able to identify potential trends via analyzing product related data for proactive prevention
6. Leadership and Team Management
With strong leadership skills to guide and support team members
Plus if:
1. Experience in E-Com / Open Market Product Monitoring
a. Prior experience in monitoring products in the E-Com / open market sectors is highly desirable
