Purpose of the Position: The main role supports Corning’s Manufacturing, Technology, and Engineering (MT&E) corporate engineering directorate based in Asia. This position provides support to all Corning Incorporated manufacturing plants in the Asia-Pacific region. Project assignments may require extensive travel, up to 75％, to countries such as Japan, South Korea, India, and the USA. Project involved with: The project will focus on implementing robust, cost-effective automation and process machine systems in Corning’s manufacturing plants. This will require collaboration with manufacturing, control systems, process engineering, and other related departments. 1. Establish a network of contacts with high level executives of client companies through participation in business association activities; developing relationship with other business service professionals such as real estate agents for mutual referrals, and also using our firm‘s own extensive clientele base in Taiwan and elsewhere internationally. 2. Areas of Responsibility: • Collect and verify different data from multiple sources, consolidate various data and distribute to relevant stakeholders, internal and external. Provide feedback to data owner in case of deviations. Monitor, verify and correct reports prior to submittal, such as time registration overviews, KPI reports, vendor reports, crew change lists, etc. • Arrange transport and accommodation for site personnel travelling to/from Project in line with Project specific transport concept. Organize and manage crew changes to/from specific site location by producing crew change manifests per defined format based on manning plans. Coordinate with Site Management and Marine Coordinator and update transport manifests. • Act as first face and point of contact to visitors and site personnel to/from site, as receptionist including reporting, data entry, keeping visitor log and answering phone calls. • Organize, arrange and coordinate meetings on site. Prepare, distribute, and file meeting minutes. • Comply with the Environment, Health & Safety rules on Site. Active support through participation in toolbox talks and safety campaigns. • Tracks stocks of office supplies and place orders when necessary. • PO creation and budget checking when necessary. (If Project requests it) • Update and maintain records and databases, such as personnel data/certificates/qualifications/training details into internal or customer system after verification of validity and of compliance. • Execute Site administrative activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance with company policies. • Assist and train colleagues when necessary.

Purpose of the Position: This position is with Manufacturing, Technology and Engineering (MT&E) corporate engineering division based in Asia. The role will support all Corning Incorporated divisions and manufacturing facilities in Asia, Indo-Pacific and US. Project assignments will require extensive travel (up to 75％) to Taiwan, South Korea, Vietnam, India, Japan, and US. To be successful in this role, the right candidate must build strong technical linkage within the Corning Technology Community and the different Engineering groups across Asia and in US. He or she must also drive vendors to fabricate automation systems and process equipment to meet Corning specifications and process requirements for manufacturing. Project involved with: Projects focus on implementing robust, cost-effective automation and process equipment for Corning manufacturing locations. Projects also require extensive collaboration with manufacturing, control / measurement / software systems, process engineering, and other related organizations. Day to Day Responsibilities: •Work independently to develop material handling automation, process equipment design concepts and detail mechanisms in response to manufacturing needs, issues, or problems. •Conduct engineering analysis to deliver robust and cost-effective solutions for fixture / gripper design, material handling, process equipment, and process improvement projects. •Provide directions to machine builders, systems integrators, and suppliers on design and fabrication of prototypes, production equipment and material handling automation. Proactively participate in design reviews, check-out, installation, debug, and production start-up. Deliver integrated equipment systems to internal customers on-time, on-budget, and on process performance targets. •Perform tests and evaluate data to make recommendations on automation and equipment performance. •Collect and analyze material handling or process needs to select suitable off-the-shelf automation such as industrial robots, collaborative robots, AMRs, AGVs, etc. •Program, teach, integrate, and troubleshoot off-the-shelf automation like robots, AMRs, etc. with connecting process equipment, conveyors, and buffers. •Communicate ideas and project status clearly and professionally in writing and orally.
