Purpose of the Position: As a process engineer in manufacturing, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining manufacturing processes to ensure the efficient production of high-quality products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement new technologies to enhance production efficiency and reduce costs Day to Day Responsibilities: •Provides leadership in problem solving, and technical expertise, to ensure timely resolution of short-term process and equipment issues, and higher level troubleshooting •Provides direction to other technicians / engineers, coaches junior engineers, and provides guidance to maintenance personnel •Provides general engineering and manufacturing skills and knowledge (understands theories and fundamentals), and capable of leading projects to get to root cause of issues, and put permanent solutions in place •Provides disciplined project leadership across multiple stages of innovation for new product, process, cost reduction and capacity improvement initiatives •Recommends and implements permanent solutions to long term performance issues, and improves existing and new technologies and processes • Develops and leads some areas of the manufacturing and/or technical roadmap.
