The Head of APS is responsible for the end to end management of the application and platform landscape, covering production environment system BAU (Business As Usual), infrastructure, and information security operations. The role oversees vendor relationships, budget planning, and team leadership while ensuring alignment with group wide standards and strategic objectives. Strong English communication skills are essential for effective interaction with corporate stakeholders and external partners, and a solid project management mindset is required to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead, mentor, and develop a cross functional team (system engineers, infra & security specialists, BAU analysts).
2. Monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs), conduct periodic reviews, and manage escalations.
3. Prepare the annual APS budget, track expenditures, and ensure cost effective delivery of services.
4. Oversee incident, problem, and change management processes in line with ITIL/ITSM best practices.
5. Define and maintain the target infrastructure roadmap (cloud, on premise, hybrid).
6. Work closely with the security function to embed security controls, vulnerability management, and compliance requirements into all APS activities.
7. Champion major transformation or migration projects (e.g., cloud adoption, platform modernization).
8. Apply project management methodologies (e.g., Prince2, PMP, Agile) to deliver projects on time, within scope, and on budget.
9. Serve as the primary point of contact for group level technology committees, auditors, and business owners.
10. Drive automation, DevOps, and observability initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.
