The Commercial Accounting workstream is one of the critical parts of Global Accounting Organization (GAO) in Asia. This role will directly face commercial functions (Sales/Marketing/Shop etc.) & market finance as accounting business partner to provide accounting and control technical guidance, evaluate business transactions or new business flows against accounting policy and local regulatory rules, support operation processes to enable business needs. This role also needs to collaborate with other GAO workstream teams, FSS and CG teams on specialized topics to maintain accurate external financial statements in compliance with US GAAP requirements. Key Accountabilities: Business Partnership • Act as primary partner to commercial leadership (Sales/Marketing/Shop) in Taiwan and communicate with Accounting & Controls expertise and broad knowledge of current business/market practice • Support commercial business team in strategic and critical decision-making with technical accounting expertise to ensure financial information engagement to drive the accuracy of financial results. Proactively engage in key business changes/refine to assess critical financial risk and financial implication (e.g., accounting memo for business model changes or accounting estimation changes) • Act as consult role in change management and business escalation in financial process. • Provide Consults role for internal controls that champion fiduciary responsibility and maintain strong financial controls environment. Accounting Functional Excellence • Follow and comply with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) and current financial legislation for financial statements. • Work with Corporate functions in providing accounting and technical guidance mainly in the areas of Trade/Revenue, Voucher Liability or Consumer/Marketing. • Collaborate with other GAO workstream teams on specialized topic such as Supply Chain accounting, Credit as well as financial reporting to ensure the accuracy of financial statements. • Work with commercial functions and FSS to develop sustainable solutions for all identified financial control gaps or process improvements, and ensure they are implemented in a manner consistent with global standard process. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor‘s degree in finance/accounting • At least 7 plus years of successful experience in accounting or commercial finance functions • Solid knowledge on accounting and accounting processes • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to deal effectively with multiple business partners and build trusting relationships • Ability to proactively and effectively communicate and influence across the organization • Open minded, agile, and able to deal with ambiguity • Ability to deliver key messages in a logical way • English proficiency required • FMCG finance experience
