Job Overview o Wi-Fi hardware system team participate in Wi-Fi system design development and release. o Responsible for system design, validation, integration and performance optimization in hardware/system team. o Cover overall chip lifecycle development, including FPGA emulation, pre-silicon verification, AISC bring-up, AISC system performance tuning and customer support. o Collaborate with software, SOC, analog and algorithm team to develop new Wi-Fi features. Required Skills o 1-3 years Systems Engineering or related work experience with extensive lab experience and debugging capabilities. o Solid understanding Wi-Fi networks and IEEE802.11 stds. o Comprehensive knowledge in using bench equipment (e.g. Wi-Fi tool tester, Oscilloscope, Spectrum analyzer, Sniffer, …). o Good communication, documentation and interpersonal skills. o C/C++ programming. Preferred Skills o Experience in at least one or more of following areas: 1. Communication theory, signal processing, RF System, Microwave engineering, signal estimation and detection, automatic gain control, RF impairment estimation and correction, channel estimation, Power control, RF interfaces and digital mitigation of RF distortion, etc. 2. Experience with wireless standards (WiFi/BT/5G/LTE/UMTS) 3. Knowledge and/or experience in MIMO, OFDM, CDMA. 4. PHY/MAC layer systems design, spectrum sharing, and next generation Wi-Fi. 5. Experience in performance analysis and system level simulation. 6. Ability to program effectively in C/C++, Python and MATLAB. o Experience in verification on FPGA, system simulation is a plus. o Hands on lab debugging/measuring skills and characterization using Spectrum Analyzer, VSG, VSA, Network Analyzer & Power Meter. o Strong analytical problem-solving approach, good communication skills, self-motivated, cheerful and optimistic attitude. o Python/Perl/MATLAB/Shell script programming.

Day to Day Responsibilities: ▪Time and motion study. ▪Discrete event simulation and modeling with statistics knowledge base. ▪Conduct time and motion observation study on the production lines for various line performance related study. ▪Process mapping and understanding for discrete event simulation modeling. Identify data source, and define data requirements to be ready for modeling. Develop simulation model through configurations or coding as required. Interpret model output to address to the questions to be answered and provide recommendations. ▪Identify right approach in optimization methodology to solve complex network logistics and manufacturing problems, including data collection, model building, solving and reporting out. Interpret output to provide recommendations to meet objective. ▪Build data flow and analysis data using ML algorithms ▪Communicate and participate in technical information sharing and foster discussion on new methodologies in solving operational problems. Project involved with: ▪Communication with multiple stake holders such as manufacturing and engineering teams. Education & Experience ▪Bachelor’s degree and above in Industrial & Operations Research or Manufacturing engineering or related field of study. Required Skills ▪Previous ILE internship or industry project experience. ▪Hands-on experience on discrete event simulation modeling and analysis (FlexSim, ARENA, or other simulation commercial software). ▪Fundamental industrial engineering understanding and knowledge (ie. Time and motion study, factory physics, production performance metrics definition and calculation …etc). ▪Knowledge or experience in capacity planning & analysis in manufacturing environment. ▪Knowledge in statistics and use of data analysis tool such as Python, R, SAS, SPSS or Minitab. ▪Able to understand CAD drawings. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct electrical design activities, including hardware selection, system structure design, and review of electrical schematic drawings. • Develop control software by defining software functional specifications and programming PLC, HMI, SCADA systems. • Participate in various projects, including capital expansion, new technology development, solution migration, and process control improvement. • Engage in all phases of the project lifecycle, from system design to installation, start up, training, and technology transfer. • Utilize advanced skills in PLC, HMI, SCADA, automation integration, and data transfer as required by each project. • Demonstrate fundamental knowledge and provide equipment control logic and flow. • Willingness to travel and provide weekend and shift coverage as needed for projects. Experiences/Education: • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation Engineering, or a related engineering field. • In depth understanding of automation industrial processes, including design, fabrication, FAT, installation, quality control, hot debugs, and SAT. • Expertise in PLC, HMI, SCADA programming, device application, and equipment integration. Purpose of the Position: This position is with Manufacturing, Technology and Engineering (MT&E) corporate engineering division based in Asia. The role will support all Corning Incorporated divisions and manufacturing facilities in Asia, Indo-Pacific and US. Project assignments will require extensive travel (up to 75％) to Taiwan, South Korea, Vietnam, India, Japan, and US.
