The Role Taiwan engineering is a dedicated engineering org for Coupang core business in Taiwan. Coupang started the business in Taiwan from 2022 and the business is growing fast, and we see many opportunities there. The team has end-to-end ownership of Taiwan systems, and we are working with Taiwan business stakeholders, product team very closely to wow the customers and scale the business. We will record another history of Coupang in Taiwan. Responsibilities - Major contributor in the team to develop features and enable systems in Taiwan - Develop close relationships with Product and Korea tech team - Solve the bottlenecks constraining Taiwan business growth - Migrate South Korea systems to Taiwan and globalize the stack - Develop Taiwan localized features on top of South Korea systems - Establish operation and engineering excellence practices - Build the domain knowledge and own TW systems. Be the go-to person in the domain - Work on multi-domain projects based on business priority Basic Requirements - Bachelor/Master/PhD in Computer Science or Engineering, or related field - 8+ years of industry experience of increasing responsibility leading engineering teams - 5+ years of experience in software development in large distributed systems, web services and Java - Growth mindset, company-wide perspective. Position: Global Security Design & Technology Manager We‘re seeking an experienced Security Design Lead to join our dynamic team and play a crucial role in securing our global operations. What You Will Do? 1. Design technical security for sites including Access Control, Intrusion Detection, CCTV, Key Management, Intercoms, Speed Gates, Fire Safety interfaces and ensure compliance with the company Enterprise Security Software. Applications may include access doors, vehicle boom barriers, external and internal CCTV, speed gates, fencing, etc.… 2. Develop security designs for diverse locations, including corporate offices, warehouses, and data centers. Project coordination and project management support provided to ensure successful delivery of completed security system in line with project schedule. 3. Prepare security designs and technical specifications (scopes of work) for vendors, surveys onsite technical security installations by vendors to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and quality standards. 4. Prepare early cost estimates and prepare designs and working with the stakeholders to deliver within budget, work closely with stakeholders to ensure our security solutions are both effective and budget conscious. 5. Assist in development of and maintain written standards that document global security requirements for the assigned projects. 6. Support requests by the system administrator (SA) of the enterprise security system (ESS) to ensure stable and reliable operation of the access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance and associated security technology. 7. Support global projects and interfaces with employees, contractors and other stakeholders in APAC, US, and China markets. Qualifications: 1. Technical or bachelor‘s degree in a related technical field. 2. 5+ years‘ experience in the following: Access Control, Intrusion Detection, CCTV, Key Management, Intercoms, Enterprise Security Software, Emergency Notification Systems, Visitor Management systems, Access level creation and badging. 3. Experience with physical security applications in corporate offices, campuses, e-commerce, logistics, warehouses, data centers, and remote offices. 4. Knowledge of technical security program design, systems, and emerging technology trends for security industry good practices is necessary. 5. Understanding of IT infrastructure, communication protocols, and network architecture.
