Departmental Supervisor

Job Summary: Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Transportation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, coordination, and administration of the school’s transportation services. The role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient transportation operations through staff supervision, vendor oversight, operational planning, emergency response support, and compliance with school policies, contractual obligations, and applicable safety requirements. Key Responsibilities: The Transportation Supervisor will lead the department as follows: - Daily transportation operations maintained with minimal service disruption and effective route coverage - Timely resolution and response to transportation incidents, operational issues, and emergency situations - Bus Monitor performance management completed effectively, including scheduling, training, attendance oversight, evaluations, and corrective actions - Compliance of transportation vendors with safety standards, driver qualifications, contractual obligations, and school requirements - Accuracy of vendor invoice verification, billing reconciliation, and budget monitoring processes - Effective management and resolution of transportation-related concerns from parents, students, and employees - Accuracy and quality of transportation data, reporting, ridership analysis, and operational documentation - Continuous improvement of transportation efficiency, communication, safety, and service quality - The post-holder serves as the primary emergency escalation point from the start of the morning transportation shift until the conclusion of the afternoon activity bus routes. Outside of regularly scheduled working hours, this responsibility will be maintained on an as-needed basis. Any active work performed during these periods will follow the school’s overtime claim process Selection criteria: - College graduate - Five years of related experience with two years of supervisory experience - Intermediate level of English.
