    Overview We are seeking a full-time Field Service Engineer (FSE) – Marine & Audio Systems Specialist in Asia. You will serve as the crucial link between product quality and customer satisfaction. This role involves providing technical support and training on Garmin Marine products, including complex audio systems, to boat OEMs, regional distributors, and sales representatives. Crucially, you will leverage your deep audio expertise to proactively feed back frontline installation, tuning, and product quality issues to the Engineering and Product teams to prevent future product failures. Basic Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Military/Trade school training OR a minimum of 3 years relevant experience • Must possess a minimum of 3 years work experience performing marine electronic equipment installation/troubleshooting • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and a superior customer-oriented attitude • Must possess a demonstrated proficiency using personal computers and software applications, including Microsoft Word & Outlook Must Qualifications • Possess a solid technical understanding of audio and acoustic systems, familiarity with audio system architecture, signal flow, and practical tuning, continually deepened through hands-on operation and research. • Experience with cross-cultural communication and supporting various markets in Asia. • Must be positive, detail/quality oriented, organized, analytical, team oriented, and a driven problem solver, multi-tasker, and self-starter with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with excellent time management and follow-up skills. • The primary focus of this role will be the Audio product line, but responsibilities are not limited to this line, requiring a strong willingness and ability to learn and support the broader Marine product ecosystem if needed. Essential Functions Product Quality & Standard Assurance (Prevention Focus) • Act as the embedded Garmin technical representative, proactively ensuring that all OEM installations meet Garmin‘s high standards for quality and functionality, especially concerning the optimal installation and tuning of marine audio systems. • Provide on-site support for Marine OEM installations and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment, and translate common installation issues into design optimization suggestions for the RD/PM teams. • Verify reported defective products at the Customer’s facility and lead Root Cause Analysis to ensure accurate documentation and classification of quality issues. Audio Expertise & Technical Problem Resolution • Maintain expert Garmin Marine product knowledge. Lead field investigations and responses for critical issues, acting as the primary communication bridge between the product team and the field. • Provide counsel regarding troubleshooting and resolution of product problems in the field and process issues by interacting with various internal departments, proposing process or product improvements to prevent recurrence, particularly for audio-related defects. Training & Knowledge Transfer • Investigate and deliver product information for new products and services to regional sales reps and distributors by creating or coordinating the creation of knowledge base content and structure. • Create, review, and deliver training materials on time with accurate and relevant information. General Duties • Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment to achieve goals. • Leverage resources to efficiently complete tasks and/or projects of moderate complexity with limited process definition. • Comply with associate and departmental guidelines and enthusiastically exhibit a desire to see Garmin succeed.
