Job Description: • Ensure the right materials are procured at the right time, quality and quantity to minimize production and storage costs, based on the material plan. • Create, validate and maintain a valid materials plan based upon the Master Production Schedule. • Schedule and manage the execution of material deliveries against existing contracts or purchase orders. • Assess and respond to expected raw material storage and distribution capacity requirements based upon supplier lead times. • Develop and provide expected demand for material requirements to suppliers on regular basis. Obtain supply capability confirmation. • Lead resolution of short-term supply/demand imbalances for materials. • Identify and initiate response to material service/quality complaints from contract manufacturing/supplier. Initiate return material process involving QA and Sourcing. • Participate in and provide data for evaluation of supplier service performance and work with sourcing and suppliers to improve performance. • Execute the plans for non-productive materials for disposition.
